'OpenJournal Pizzeria' originated from a heartfelt ambition: to introduce true Neapolitan pizza to London. Established by the Brown lineage in 1985, our little pizza place emerged as a quaint, family-directed venture with cherished recipes passed down from ancestors.

Emma Brown, our progenitor, mastered the craft of pizza creation on her sojourns across Italy, apprenticing with renowned pizza maestros in Naples—pizza's original homeland. Once back in the UK, her resolve was to recapture the essence of classic Italian pizza, adhering to ancestral techniques and selecting premium components.

What commenced as a cozy 12-seat eatery has flourished into a much-adored community fixture, yet we've steadfastly upheld our promise to excellence and genuineness. Employing identical wood-fired oven methods, our dough is produced from scratch daily and we procure the best ingredients accessible.

'OpenJournal Pizzeria' is still steered by the Brown family, now with a second generation at the helm of a dedicated crew. While modern adaptations have been adopted, the core of our enterprise remains intact: forging delectable, bona fide pizza that unites people.
